NikNak

NikNak our nearly 17-year-old boy, was born in Hamilton. The only orange roan in his litter taking after his grandmother-while all his siblings were black and white. From the moment he came home with us to Gisborne, our very special boy settled in as though he had always belonged here.
He loved caravanning, strolling down Riverside Road, and chasing the ducks on the sports fields. We're certain the ducks enjoyed their playful games with him just as much. Raised as a house dog with free exit to the outdoors, NikNak lived as a cherished member of our family-truly like a child to us.
Over the past three years he slowly began to lose his sight and hearing, though his sense of smell stayed as keen as ever. Despite these challenges, the unconditional love, joy, and countless memories he gave us cannot be measured. His passing has left a tremendous void in our home and in our hearts. The wounds are taking time to heal, but the memories of him will live with us forever. We know he is in a better place now, and having him back with us in his beautiful little box brings comfort as we learn to adjust to life without him by our side.
We extend our sincere thanks and deep gratitude to James and Kirstie for the loving care they gave our nearly 17-year-old boy, NikNak. Forever loved. Forever remembered.
