Miss Nubby

I was blessed to have the free-spirited Miss Nubby come into my life just under three years ago, born with one smaller fragile leg which was amputated when fractured at 3 months old.  That didn't slow her down!! She spent her life running and chasing balls thrown by anyone who would react to the ball being placed between their feet and a little bark to "play" with me. She has lived on an orchard and at the beach, I can't imagine how many kilometers she has run chasing avocados, seagulls and balls with her two sisters trailing behind. She even ran races at the Gisborne Terrier Racing and was voted "Biggest People Pleaser" on the day.
Every one who met Miss Nubby knew she was a special puppy and loved her energy whether busy playing or resting on the back of the couch behind your head getting a sneaky lick of your cheek.
We were all devastated when she was hit by a car and died instantly. She would have been three later this month but covered the miles and lived the life of a much older dog.
