Our Why
Our sole purpose at Pet Reflections is to change the way our community experiences pet loss. Not only do we want to provide a better service for people and their beloved pets, but we also want to do it in a way that is better for the planet.
We began this journey, originally looking at a traditional flame cremator, but when we discovered Alkaline Hydrolysis, we knew this was the way to go as it aligns so perfectly with our values of respect, compassion and sustainability.
Our business model centers around being an environmentally friendly, sustainable, no waste business. We achieve this by being essentially paperless, returning our water solution to the land in the form of fertilizer and will continue to do better in the future with solar power and carbon offsetting. We look forward to sharing our sustainable story with you.
Who We Are
Pet Reflections is a family owned and operated business run by James and Kirstie. Both of us have always grown up with pets in the household (James even had a pet rat), and we can’t imagine a life without them. Our fur children currently consists of 2 dogs Sasha and Blue and 1 cat called Sid. They provide us with constant comfort, love, laughter and the odd headache.
Both of us have experienced pet loss in the past so we understand the heartbreak you are feeling and will do everything we can to help you at this difficult time.
About Water Cremation
Water cremation is a process called Alkaline Hydrolysis that uses a combination of gentle water flow, heat and alkalinity to breakdown the tissue and mimics the natural decomposition of a burial just at an increased rate.
